Help a friend join Tehy and receive a reward

Three tips for recommendations
- Ask your colleague if they have joined a trade union
Most employees who have not joined a trade union say that no one has offered them membership. As a Tehy member, take the first step and ask whether your coworker or a student is a member of Tehy. You may be doing a major favour for your colleague! - Share your own experiences of how you have benefited from being a member of Tehy
Have you received help from a union representative at your workplace, or have you used member benefits? Perhaps you may have participated in training or events organised by Tehy at some point? The easiest way to become a member of Tehy is to join the union on its website at tehy.fi/en/tehy-membership/join-tehy. When your coworker joins Tehy online, their membership will enter into effect immediately and they will have access to all member benefits as soon as possible. They can also easily join via their mobile phone!
Recommend to your colleague that they should choose employer collection. The employer will then withhold the membership fee directly from your colleague’s salary and your colleague will not have to pay the fee separately. Tehy will also notify your colleague’s possible previous unemployment fund about the unemployment fund being changed to the Unemployment Fund for Health and Social Care Professionals.

Making a recommendation is this easy
Ways to make a recommendation:
- Face to face: Bring up the topic during a coffee break, for example.
- Via a mobile app: Send a message to your friend from Tehy’s mobile app via WhatsApp, text message or social media channels. Your friend will receive your personal recommendation and a link to the membership form. The form will automatically feature your member ID.
- By email: Send an email to your colleague from the Tehy website and tell them why they should join Tehy.
Remember to ask your colleague to provide your name and member ID in the ‘Member ID of the person who referred you’ field. This ensures that you will receive the reward points.
Tehy is the union of every social, health care and education professional
