Every Tehy member is entitled to numerous membership benefits and services.
The union representative and Tehy experts will help you with any questions about your employment. You will have access to free legal aid and other wonderful member benefits, such as necessary occupational insurance! As a member, you are part of building better working life and improving working conditions and salaries.
Tehy union representatives are available in the workplace for you. You can ask them about matters to do with your employment or pay, for example. You can also contact our specialists.
For example, Tehy can help you in the following situations:
If necessary, we can provide you with legal aid in disputes and criminal cases to do with your role or position or practising your profession in Finland. The excess fee for this is €0. Tehy will pay the costs for the legal proceedings.
The unemployment benefit guarantees your livelihood if you become unemployed or furloughed or if you are temporarily without income for another reason. When you join Tehy, we will pay the membership fee of the Sotekassa on your behalf. When joining Tehy, remember to choose to also become a member of the unemployment fund.
An employer’s insurance does not cover all accidents that might occur while working. As a Tehy member, you receive Tehy insurance, which you will need in jobs and traineeships. R

Take part in trainings, study days and webinars. You’ll maintain and develop the skills your profession requires. Most of our training events are free of charge for members. You can also apply for a grant from us to support some of your studies. Explore our event and training calendar to see what’s available.
Join us for unique events and gatherings. We organize a large member event at least once a year, along with other leisure activities throughout the year.
You can take part in our activities all across Finland. Your local branch also arranges events and activities for its members.
Tehy members can enjoy amusement park fun at member prices with their loved ones in four different parks. Member-priced wristbands are available for Linnanmäki, PowerPark, Särkänniemi, and Tykkimäki.
