Tehy Council’s organising meeting in early June to appoint chairpersons and a board for the union

The Council of Tehy, the trade union for social care, healthcare and education professionals, will hold its organising meeting on 4–5 June. During the meeting, a chairperson, vice-chairpersons, board members, and the chairperson and vice-chairpersons for the Council will be elected for Tehy. Other members will also be elected to positions of trust.

The Tehy council elections held in the spring appointed decision-makers for the union for the 2025–2029 term. On the first day of the Council’s organising meeting, a chairperson will be elected for Tehy. In addition to the current chairperson, Millariikka Rytkönen from Porvoo, Kim Yli-Pelkola from Pietarsaari is also running for the position (article in Finnish).

On the second meeting day, board members will be elected for Tehy.

The meeting will be held as a closed meeting, but the decisions can be monitored via an updated section on the Tehy website. The page will also feature speeches held at the meeting, photos for the media and the latest news. The page will also feature a recording of the chairperson’s keynote speech.

Tehy is the trade union for people with a social care, healthcare or education degree. Students in these fields may also join the union.
