We once again have our own Tehy block in the Helsinki Pride Parade. Join us in marching together for equality and equity. Each participant will receive a Tehy Pride t-shirt!

We are an official partner of Helsinki Pride and will once again be part of the Pride Parade on Saturday 27 June. We have our own walking block in the parade, and you are warmly welcome to join us! We will give everyone who participates in our block a Tehy Pride t-shirt! So come together to march and make noise for equal working life.

Schedule

The parade starts at Senate Square at 12 noon and ends in Kaivopuisto. The schedule will be specified later on.

President Millariikka Rytkönen to join us

Tehy's walking block will be led by our President Millariikka Rytkönen. Join us in making the Tehy block seen and heard in the parade!

– Tehy is part of Helsinki Pride Parade because equality will not come about without taking action. Pride reminds us that everyone's right to be themselves needs defenders, also in everyday life. For us, this is not an isolated event, but part of the work we do every day for a fairer working life and decent treatment, says President of Tehy Millariikka Rytkönen.

Tehy has participated in Pride parades since 2018 and has been an official community partner of the event for several years. Pride is about human rights, equal society and working life. The same values are reflected in Tehy's work for a better working life and a more equal society every day of the year.

This year’s theme is ‘Growing with Pride’

This year, the theme of Helsinki Pride is ‘Growing with Pride’. No one should have to wait until adulthood before they can be proud of themselves. Every child and young person has the right to grow up in peace and to become their authentic self. For LGBTQIA+ youth, however, this freedom to grow is not a given; it requires active efforts from both the adults around them and from other young people.

Pride highlights human rights, equality and justice in society.
